Vargariket was founded by Turgeis and Sturlason in 1995 as a two-piece. They were joined by Strømsæther soon thereafter and recorded their first demo during Eastern 1996. The demo sold more than 1000 copies world-wide and has become a sought after collectors item. The cassette was professionally produced and came with a glossy printed cover-sleeve.
